Rafiat Akinokun

Rafiat Akinokun is a Public Health Nurse with keen interests in infectious diseases and epidemiology. She served as a study nurse for Chemonics International to evaluate the differentiated service delivery model of HIV care in Kwara State, Nigeria. In addition, Rafiat was recognized as an Immunization Advocacy champion by the Sabin Vaccine Institute and the Nursing Now Challenge due to her activities to reduce vaccine hesitancy among indigenous populations in Kwara at the heat of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rafiat is a Women Deliver Young Leader committed towards improving the health of adolescent girls in Nigeria by influencing and driving policies through research, awareness, sensitization and advocacy.
Iyiola Oladunjoye
Project Lead
Iyiola Oladunjoye is an astute microbiologist working to proffer sustainable solutions to the global health challenges of infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance and One Health through research and advocacy. Having served as the International Young Ambassador of Science to Nigeria of the American Society of Microbiology, Iyiola is skilled in capacity building and research for health innovation.
Iyiola is an Erasmus+ Scholar studying Joint Master Degree in Leading International Vaccinology Education. Iyiola is committed towards building capacity for African Vaccine Manufacturing and influencing policies to eradicate infectious diseases epidemics such as HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Olumide Gabriel Areo
Community Lead.
Olumide Areo is an impact contributor committed to contributing positively to the challenges of poverty and inequality in Africa and beyond. As a Project Pakati changemaker in 2018; he contributed to the development of a proposed mandate of political structure for global best practices on advisory councils of young leaders in Africa. The results convened recommendations for the African Union’s Office of the Youth Envoy ‘Greater Inclusion of African Youths in Public Service and Governance Report’ August 2020.
He is a Princess Diana Awardee, recognized with the highest accolade a young person can achieve for humanitarian efforts. Recognized by the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex. He has high interest in social research, public policy, entrepreneurship and Finance.
